Dave Heldt

INTERIM Pastor / Elder

After graduating from Grace College in Winona Lake, Indiana, Dave and his wife Tia moved back to Hawaii where she was born and raised.  They both stared working as public high school teachers in 2001, however Tia left teaching when they had the first of their seven children in 2004.  Dave still currently works full time as a high school teacher.  At Waipio GBC, Dave serves as our interim and youth pastor within his position as elder  He also enjoys the beauty of God’s creation in the mountains and the oceans of Hawaii with his family.

Steven Butler

Elder

Steve's wife Elizabeth and he have 5 children and 6 grandkids.  He volunteers as a Centershot Hawaii Archery Instructor and is a National Rifle Association of America (NRA) Instructor in his private life.  He also is an active member of the Hawaii Awana Ministry Team and is the Activities Director for the Hawaii Merit Camp.  With all these titles and hats, Steve would just rather be known as a believer that knows, loves, and serves our Lord Jesus Christ.

Tia Heldt

Children's Ministry Leader

Tia Heldt was born and raised in central Oahu, where she lives now with her husband, Dave and their seven children.  She attended Grace College in Winona Lake In, where she Majored in Art Education.  Shortly after graduating and getting married, Tia and Dave moved to Oahu and started their teaching careers on the west side of the island.  Tia and Dave always volunteered and were involved in Children's Ministry.  In 2007 they both felt called to serve in leadership roles and assumed greater responsibilities in Children's Ministry.  Their prayer is to strengthen the faith of families through children’s, youth and family ministries.

Scott and Allison Moore

Head deacon / deaconess

Scott and Allison are both originally from Indiana. They have four children and enjoy the blessing of being able to homeschool them. Scott is serving in the United States military and is stationed locally. They both serve the church by organizing the Deacon Board. Scott also serves a teacher on Wednesday night and occasionally for Sunday morning worship.
