Our Ministries

As Christians, we are called to intergrate ourselves into each others lives. Every ministry at Waipio GBC is designed to help us fulfill the "one another" passages within Scripture. After all, how can we encourage one another, pray for one another, instruct one another, honor one another, and all the other "one another" commands given in Scripture, if we do not assemble together? Here are some of the opoortunities provided to fulfill what God has called us to do.

  • Children's Ministries

We have wonderful ministries for your children during our services, from newborn through elementary age. Your children will enjoy age-appropriate teaching from the Bible, sing songs and play games. The welfare of your children is a priority to us at Waipio GBC. Therefore, all of our teachers and staff have been trained in regards to child protection policies, as well as class room management techniques. We also run background checks on all of our adults who participate in any way with our children’s ministries. This helps to maintain a level confidence that we can give to parents as they drop off their children. We offer several options to parents with children during our service times: •There is a nursery to meet the needs of those who have infants and very young children. •We have Children’s Church during the Sunday Morning Service (10:45 AM) after we worship corporately with the entire family. •During our Sunday School (9:30 AM on Sunday Mornings) we have classes for all ages - including the adults. •You are also welcomed to have your children sit in the sanctuary with you so long as they are not disruptive to others who are learning.

  • Student's Ministry (jr. and sr. high)

The vision of the youth group at WGBC is to teach and practice the Word of God in our hearts and lives. We want to reinforce Godly values, investigate the truths of scripture, spread the gospel and have fun in the Lord! We meet from 6:30-8:00 on Wednesday nights. We encourage any junior high or high school aged youth to come out and some fun and fellowship that will bring glory to the Lord.

  • Men's Ministry

We have a Men's Breakfast at 8:00 am on the second Saturday of every month here at Waipio GBC. For additional upcoming Men's Ministry events, please contact us or call the church office.

  • Women's Ministry

  • Worship Ministry

At Waipio Grace Brethren Church we believe God is worthy of all our praise, reverence and love. It is our goal to worship Him with our whole lives – at home, at work or wherever else we find ourselves. We will set aside a special time to worship Him whenever we gather together in His name, and as servants in His worship ministry, we will strive to create an environment through prayer, song and example in which others will be encouraged to enter into His presence to worship and adore Him. If you are interested in participating with the worship team, please let us know by contacting us or talking to one of the worship team members after a service. We will be praying for you as you prayerfully consider your involvement with this unique ministry. We're always on the lookout for: • Media (Audio/Visual) • Singers • Instrumentalists • Stage hands (help)

Each 8 week session sonsits of 30 minutes of shooting, 30 minutes of Bible Study, then another 30 minutres of shooting. The youth do not need to purchase anything in order to participate. We use Mathews Genesis bows, and Easton 1820 arrows, which are the same quality equipment used by the NASP within the school districts. Since the Hawaii School district, not the State of Hawaii would help us due to the seperation of church and state, all of our equipment and resources come by means of generous donors who have been led of God to support the work that He is doing. Our range is located on our church property and is outfitted with 10 targets, kevlar saftey netting, and over 30 nationally qualified instructors, all of which help to provide a safe environment for both our students and neighbors.
